German

The subject of German aims to develop your language skills for a study of your specialist subject at a university of applied science. The lessons start at level B1+/B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages and lead up to level C1.

Passing the German subject of the graduation exam (FSP) certifies the language faculty to study, and grants unrestricted admission to all courses and degrees (Framework Regulations on German Language Examinations for Studies at German Universities, RO-DT).

The lessons advance the competence areas of listening, speaking, reading and writing. The focus is on linguistic, methodological and content-related skills and topics that are required for university studies and are typical of science-oriented language use.

Scope: 4 teaching units of 90 minutes each per week
